Conveyancing

Remember to obtain a quotation for conveyancing services.

When buying or selling a property, your legal rights need to be represented by a solicitor / conveyancer. Many of our clients already have their own preferred firm and a local professional can often make a sensible choice with this part of the house buying / selling process. There is also a vast array of cheap internet based conveyancing services to be found on the web but we strongly recommend that you investigate a firm’s service level, whichever method you choose.

There are many steps involved in the legal process and you need to be sure that your chosen firm can complete the transaction with the minimum amount of delay and with maximum reliability.

Problems or delays with the Conveyancing process can cause a sale to “fall through,” result in increased sale costs or cause problems with mortgage facilities so please choose carefully.

There are differences in conveyancing prices for Freehold / Leasehold properties and for Registered / Unregistered Land. The prices of local searches can also differ between Local Authorities. Ensure you are given the full costs including disbursement charges (as many firms quote for the Conveyancing but add disbursements separately).

Royal Fox has no preferred conveyancer and we would love to
hear your feedback on the performance of firms so that we
may be able to provide recommendations in the future.
Please email us at info@royalfox.co.uk with your comments.
